Biography

Dennis Neuen is a Rheumatologist dedicated to providing evidence based and person-centred care. He completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with first class honours at the University of Notre Dame in 2017. He also holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Australian National University. Dennis undertook his physician and Rheumatology specialty training at Liverpool, Concord and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He holds adjunct associate lecturer roles at both the University of New South Wales and the University of Notre Dame.

Dennis is actively involved in research as a sub-investigator on several clinical trials. He has contributed to the development of national care standards in rheumatoid arthritis and international guidelines for psoriatic arthritis. He was the inaugural recipient of the Jane Bleasel RPA Research Scholarship in 2025.

He maintains a broad interest in all aspects of general rheumatology but also has a special interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound as well as psoriatic arthritis, which he currently is undertaking his PhD in. He also performs nailfold capillaroscopy for the assessment of connective tissue disorders. Outside of work, Dennis is a tragic Wests Tigers rugby league fan, amateur runner, jazz piano fan, chess player and loves most spending time with his wife and two children.

Fees

With a valid referral, you will receive a Medicare rebate. A valid referral has to be current and come from a general practitioner or another specialist.

Initial Consult:                                      $400.00 to $500.00  Medicare Rebate: $143.35 to $250.65

Follow-up Consult:                               $220.00 to $285.00  Medicare Rebate: $71.70 to $125.55

Cancellation Policy - There is a strict cancellation policy in place for appointments with Dr Neuen. Cancellation or appointment changes require a minimum notice of 24 hours, and failure to do so will result in a fee ranging from 50% to 100% of the consultation cost. This is not covered by Medicare.
